This session moves beyond the “hype” of AI to focus on practical, day-to-day applications for Facility Managers in the public and retail sectors. We will explore how AI technologies—specifically Language, Vision, and Predictive patterns—can be leveraged today to reduce administrative burdens. Attendees will learn how to use tools like ChatGPT for summarizing complex reports and drafting communications, and see how AI-powered computer vision (like Project Aidra) transforms property condition assessments from multi-day manual tasks into efficient, four-hour digital walk-throughs. The goal is to move from “reactive” to “strategic,” returning capacity to the workforce and improving work-life balance through intelligent toolsets.
By the end of the session attendees will be able to:
Clearly define the difference between smart automation and intelligent AI toolsets.
Understand the four core functional areas of AI: Language, Vision, Patterns, and Action.
Reference case studies where AI provided immediate 85% time savings and improved data accuracy.
Understand how to use AI to offload administrative inspection duties
